Tracy Dodt is a support worker at Belconnen Community Service and works with participants to enhance their independence, build on their strengths to improve skills and capacity and ensure that participants enjoy the same opportunities to participate in social and recreational activities as people without disability. Tracy is dedicated and committed to inclusion in her work and demonstrates immense respect in all relationships.
Tracy has been the driving force behind the "Winter Ball".
In 2018 Tracy identified that people with disability do not have many opportunities to dress up and attend formal occasions. The first Winter Ball in 2018 was a great success with participants and families coming together to celebrate life, friendship and ability. In 2019 the Winter Ball was an even greater success with many more participants and broader community engagement.
