NDS is hosting a second PPE webinar,

Correct PPE usage in a COVID environment, on Tuesday 31 August 1:30pm – 2:30pm. This webinar is for all ACT disability support organisations and their support staff.

The webinar will feature a scenario where a disability support worker arrives to support a person with disability who has tested positive for COVID-19. Included in the scenario are demonstrations featuring the donning and doffing of PPE and the fitting of the N95 mask.

Following this, the webinar will open up for specific questions from attendees. These will be answered by our panel of experts from ACT Health and Quest.

This is your opportunity to reinforce your understanding of correct PPE procedures and improve COVID-19 preparedness.

Date: Tuesday 31 August
Time: 1:30pm-2:30pm
Location: via Zoom
Registration Link is below

This webinar will reinforce donning and doffing techniques, it will also feature additional information not provided in the PPE webinar held last week, including how to fit an N95 mask.

NDS will also be providing some vital new resources at the end of the webinar that you will be able to use within your organisation.

Note too that all attendees will be provided with a clear recording of the webinar as another resource– something that NDS were unable to do last week due to issues with the picture and sound.

NDS also anticipate new and different questions for experts at the end of the webinar, some that we have prepared in advance and some that participants will raise.
