Disability Reference Group (DRG)

WE MAKE INCLUSION HAPPEN by listening to advice from people with disability, their carers and supporters, and acknowledging them as experts in inclusion.

The ACT Disability Reference Group (DRG), formerly known as the ACT Disability Expert Panel, is an advisory group that works to ensure the ACT Government is aware of the issues which affect people with disability in the ACT.

The DRG also advises the ACT Government on ways in which the ACT can be a more inclusive community for people with disability. Members of the Reference Group draw on their own experience and their broader engagement with people with disability, as their carers and service providers to provide that advice.

The work of the Reference Group is underpinned by the seven policy areas of Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031

  • Employment and Financial Security
  • Inclusive Homes and Communities
  • Safety, Rights and Justice
  • Personal and Community Support
  • Education and Learning
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Community Attitudes
