Companion Card Program

WE MAKE INCLUSION HAPPEN by working with the businesses and venues to widely promote the acceptance of Companion Cards.

The Companion Card Program enables people with disability who require life-long attendant care support from a companion to attend participating venues or activities without incurring the cost of a second ticket for their companion.

The program aims to:

  • Support greater social inclusion for people with a disability and their carers.
  • Provide businesses with a practical way to meet some of their obligations under anti-discrimination legislation.

ACT residents with a permanent disability who require life-long attendant care support can apply for a Companion Card using the form on the Community Services Directorate webpage.

Businesses interested in affiliating with the ACT Companion Card program can register using the form on the Community Services Directorate webpage. It is simple and free - an easy way for businesses and organisations to promote social inclusion for people with disability.

The full list of affiliated businesses in the ACT can be found on the Community Services Directorate website.
