An Expression of Interest is currently being advertised for several positions with the Liquor Advisory Board.
The Board’s key function is to provide advice to the Attorney-General about matters associated with the operation and effectiveness of the Liquor Act 2010 (the Act) and about measures, including legislative measures, which support the harm minimisation and community safety principles.
Board positions are unremunerated and Membership involves:
• attending 2 – 3 meetings per annum;
• occasional consideration of reporting and other policy-related documentation;
• engaging in conversations with other community, industry and government
representatives to help to shape ACT liquor policy; and
• taking the opportunity to raise issues relevant to the community sector that the
member represents.
