Unpacking NDIS language and terms – workshop for the Deaf Community

Unpacking NDIS language and terms – workshop for the Deaf Community
Mon 8 Feb 2021, 12:00pm - 2:00pm Online Learning and skills
Your NDIS Local Area Coordination partner Feros Care and Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) partner EACH would like to invite the Deaf Community to a Workshop to build familiarity and confidence about the language and NDIS terms that you see in plans, on the website, in booklets, or hear from your LAC or Co-ordinator.

The focus for this workshop is unpacking any confusing terms in your plan; terms about the people who are important in your plan or your life, and the things that relate to funding and supports in your plan. It also provides information about who to go to for further information, support or to ask a question?

The Workshop is an opportunity to learn more about how to get the most out of your NDIS plan and for us to answer any questions you may have. You will be able to meet your local Feros Care LACs and EACH ECEI Coordinators together on line. Auslan and Live Captioning will be available, and there is a choice of attending this daytime session or an evening session 7.30pm on Thursday 11 February if that suits you better.

Also coming up (please register separately for each workshop)
Workshop 2: Equipment and services - How do I get what I need? (23 Nov & 26 Nov)
Workshop 3: NDIS self-management - How do I do it? (30 Nov & 3 Dec)
Workshop 4: NDIS for Under 7's & parents of deaf children - What information and supports are available? (7 Dec & 10 Dec)
