A free film program for LGBTQIA+ Youth aged 12-17 yrs during Sep/Oct school holidays

In this 3-day school holiday program for LGBTQIA+ youth aged 12-17, we’re going on a filmmaking adventure! Two troupes of young filmmakers will each devise a film exploring issues close to their hearts. Through the lens of a camera, we will look at who we are, our place in the world and send a message of love and inclusivity to our audiences.
An awesome opportunity to embrace and share our identities, the workshop will give you new performing and filmmaking skills in a fun and safe environment.

The program will be led by Rebus Theatre’s associate artists Sammy Moynihan and Anaïs Maro, and there will be a trained support worker and LGBTQIA+ advisor present at all times.

Acting Out: On Screen is funded by the Chief Minister's Charitable Fund 2019 and brought to you by Rebus Theatre in partnership with Meridian and the Canberra Inclusive Partnership.

The program will include:
1 day to devise and plan the shooting
1.5 days to shoot and edit on the go
Half a day of finalising editing, poster making, and launching

To enrol please fill out an enrolment form and an Audio-Visual consent form and return to info@rebustheatre.com.

NB: Participants can choose between either not giving consent for their image to be captured/used, giving consent for their image to be used privately for the film (only to be shared between the group), or to be used for promotional purposes to communicate the work of Rebus Theatre to the community.

'Acting out: On Screen' is funded by the Chief Minister's Cultural Fund.
