Justin Le Couteur - Finalist for the 2019 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards

Justin Le Couteur is a finalist for the Achievement in Inclusion award at the 2019 ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!

Since moving to Canberra in 2004, Justin has been involved in many activities to increase inclusion of people with disability, including in his roles as ACT Board member and Treasurer of Physical Disability Australia, Vice President and President of People with Disabilities ACT, and his current role as a member of the ACT Disability Reference Group.

Over the years, he has facilitated work experience and school based apprenticeships for students with disability at the ACT Education Directorate’s Student to Industry Program; worked on the ACT Public Service Employment Strategy for People with Disability; run a small business training organisations to increase their disability confidence; and worked in diversity teams at the Department of Health and the Department of Defence - writing action plans and developing and delivering confidence training. Justin is currently working in the area of assistive technology.
