Multicultural Advisory Council seeking new members

Are you committed to the advancement of cultural and linguistic diversity in the ACT?

We are looking for nominations to join the ACT Multicultural Advisory Council in 2021.

The Council is a link between members of Canberra’s culturally diverse communities, the ACT Government and the wider community, and provides advice to the Minister for Multicultural Affairs to raise awareness of the aspirations, needs and concerns of culturally diverse communities.

We are currently seeking both community and representative members for the Council.

  • Community members are appointed as individuals who have a strong commitment to the ACT’s multicultural communities.
  • Representative members represent a community organisation that provides programs, services, referral services and other support to ACT multicultural communities, including new migrants, refugees and asylum seekers

The Council’s terms of reference are available here: https://www.communityservices.act.gov.au/multicultural/act-multicultural-advisory-council/terms-of-reference-and-guidelines

Applications should be submitted via the SmartyGrants portal here: https://dhcs.smartygrants.com.au/2123AMAC

Nominations are now open and will close on Wednesday, 27 January 2021.
