ACT Consumer Reference Group for End of Life and Palliative Care

The ACT Palliative Care Governance Committee is looking for members of the Canberra community to join the inaugural ACT Consumer Reference Group for End of Life and Palliative Care.

 

This reference group is being created to increase consumer, carer and community participation in the planning and delivery of end of life and palliative care service delivery within the ACT.

 

If you know of a consumer who has a unique perspective on issues associated with end of life and/or palliative care within the ACT and surrounding communities please let them know we would like to hear from them.

 

The ACT Palliative Care Governance Committee would also like to specifically hear from people who may represent the below populations:

 

☐ has had firsthand experience with ACT palliative care service (patient or carer)

☐ is a parent of a child who is or has received palliative care

☐ is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

☐ is a member of a cultural or ethnic group and/or a refugee

☐ is a person identifies as LGBTIQ+

☐ is a person living with a disability

☐ has a mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues

☐ is a person who resides in a residential aged care facility

☐ is a veteran

☐ is a care leaver and affected by forced adoptions

☐ has been detained

☐ resides in SNSW in a community serviced by ACT palliative care services
