Network Student Engagement Team, ACT Education Directorate - Finalist for the 2019 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards

The Network Student Engagement Team at the ACT Education Directorate is a finalist for the Excellence in Inclusive Services and Disability Support award at the 2019 Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!

The ACT Government’s Education Directorate Network Student Engagement Team (NSET) enhances the inclusion of students with disability by supporting the school to make reasonable adjustments and connecting families, students and schools with available services for a shared understanding of the needs of a student. NSET is an interprofessional team of specialists with diverse skillsets focused on working collaboratively to build the capacity schools to support all students across school networks: Belconnen, North Gungahlin, South Weston and Tuggeranong.

NSET also delivers a broad range of professional learning for teachers, including (but not limited to) whole school, class and targeted programs, coaching and mentoring of teachers, co-designing individualised student responses, case management support, essential skills and health and wellbeing support They deliver exceptional outcomes for ACT students and school communities by employing an innovative, holistic and thoughtful approach to student engagement support.
