Luke Ferguson - Finalist for the 2019 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards

Luke Ferguson is a finalist for the Excellence in Support Work award at the 2019 Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!

Luke Ferguson is the Youth Support Worker at The Woden School, a specialist setting catering for young people in years 7-12 with disability. Luke established and runs ‘Party Down Productions’, a school wide music program that engages all students in all aspects of event planning including teaching them to use photoshop to make posters, setting playlists according to disco theme and/or target audience, technical set-up, pack-down and ‘rockin’ the mic’ as DJ’s.

Luke supports the Student Representative Council and works collaboratively with them and other school staff to plan, develop and facilitate whole-school fundraisers and events such as the White Ribbon Cup, R U OK? Day, Harmony Day, Reconciliation & National Sorry Day, NAIDOC Day, Pyjama Day, and the annual music festival ‘WodenStock’.
