ACT Emergency Services Agency- Finalist fot the 2019 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards

ACT Emergency Services Agency is a finalist for the Excellence in Innovation, Design and Access award at the 2019 ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!
In 2019, the ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) consulted with local disability organisations to include new features in their annual ESA Open Day. The event included a 'quiet hour', Auslan interpreters, and showcased accessible technology such as smoke alarms for the hard of hearing.
All organisers and partners reviewed an ‘accessibility checklist’ during planning, to ensure as many community members as possible could participate in a fun and educational day out.
