ACT Down Syndrome Association is a finalist for Excellence in Inclusive Services and Disability Support at the 2019 Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!
The staff of ACT Down Syndrome Association is made up of Shannon Kolak, Gemma Francescangeli and Katie Senior. Shannon and Gemma, with help from Office Assistant Katie, are extremely dedicated to advancing the vision of "building an inclusive community for people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities".
Whether it is facilitating training, capacity building or social networks, organising celebrations like the Alderson Awards, or creating and supporting opportunities for inclusive employment and education, this team is working hard to build the capacity of the Canberra community to meaningfully include people with intellectual disability.
