The Future Is Inclusive project team have developed a series of podcasts that discuss with people with disability and their allies about a whole range of issues that impact on the inclusion of people with disability. The podcasts range across the key areas of Access, Education, Justice, Health, the Arts, Transport, Family and friends, Inclusion, Identity and concludes with a discussion about purpose. Through the series you will hear from a whole range of Canberrans with disability who let people know how to be inclusive – how to develop skills and tools for listeners to become allies to people with disability.
There are useful tips about reasonable adjustments and how to make them. Listeners will hear stories that resonate from people in their community, will hear about experiences and learn about the social model of disability. The podcasts are accessible and easy to engage with and make inclusion happen. They provide a powerful voice of people with disability telling it like it is and have capability to turn apathy into engagement, uncertainty into confidence and hesitance into action.
