Hartley Lifecare - Finalist for the 2019 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards
Hartley Lifecare is a finalist for Excellence in Inclusive Services and Disability Support at the 2019 Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!
Hartley Lifecare provides support to 83 individuals in 33 homes across Canberra. Hartley demonstrates through its philosophy and practice that they work with individuals and their families to enable people with disability to have opportunities to live their best life. They ensure that people with the most complex disabilities are engaged in a variety of activities and have opportunities of their own choice.
Many examples of Hartley’s inclusive practices are seen on a day-to-day basis in the clients’ lives, whether this is staff working actively one on-one, in a person centred way with clients to achieve a personal goal or an achievement, or on a bigger scale, such as the Hartley High Tea and Fashion Parade event.
